Ever since I was little, I wanted to be an artist. I would sit and color with my mom all day if I could. Ideally, I wanted to go to Africa to photograph animals in their natural habitat and then use those images as inspiration for a future painting. However, as we grow up, our dreams change just as much as we do. While I still thrive on creativity and self-expression, my subjects and my mediums have adapted. They have evolved based on technological advances as well as who I have become as a person.
In high school, I always chose to take elective art classes whenever possible; developing my painting skills during many upper level classes. I discovered a love of design when working on the high school’s literary magazine.
With a passion for both painting and design, I explored both areas of expertise during my college tenure. Doing so has allowed me to grow in many unique and unimaginable ways.
So far, I have been honored to work with some incredible organizations, such as the Center for Interreligious Understanding at Spring Hill College, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and the Career Development department at Spring Hill College. Furthermore, I was lucky enough to win a gold and two silver award at the Mobile Bay American Advertising Awards in 2016 and 2017.
Currently, I am working as an freelance artist and instructional designer in Dallas, Texas.
